This season, Nike’s getting playful with its designs by adding elements that are crafted to be customised, and the Nike Air Max 90 “DIY Flare” and Nike Air Max 97 “DIY Flare” are following the footsteps of the recently released AF1 Tearaway with their customisable elements. Two of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes, each of these sneakers comes in a pretty pastel hue that’s made to wear away to reveal a brighter colourway.
The upper on the Nike Air Max 90 “DIY Flare” is crafted from breathable mesh that allows air to flow freely around the foot. Leather overlays are added to reinforce the structure of the silhouette and the mudguard to the sides is coated in pastel pink fabric that’s specially crafted to wear away to reveal a crimson underlayer. Branding comes in the form of Nike’s iconic Swoosh to the side and Nike Air Max logo detailing on the heel, tongue and lateral side.
Presented in the same pastel blue and pink colourway, the pack’s Air Max 97 silhouette boasts a wavy upper in crisp white, while the same layered leather panel sits on the sides just waiting to be worn away! Branding is slightly more subtle on this pair; an embroidered Swoosh features on the side and on the tongue. Both sneakers are fitted with Nike’s exclusive Air unit that supports your foot in all the right places, these sneakers are a dream come true for customisers and sneakerheads alike.
There’s no news yet on when you can cop the Nike “DIY Flare” Pack in the UK, but keep it locked into The Sole Womens for more information on this release and more Nike drops, news and restocks.
