If you like to get creative and customise your kicks then you need to get your hands on the Nike Air Max 98 Tear Away White. This sneaker is one of a kind, with a tear away upper that you can remove yourself to reveal a selection of vibrant, coloured panels.
The tear-away Air Force 1 was revealed only last week and already Nike seems to be applying the dame design technique to another one of their popular silhouettes. At first glance this appears to be your typical triple white Air Max 98 updated with simple details including a black dot border around the 3M trim and a small scissor graphic along the side panels. The little sketch style details allude to the multicoloured panels that sit below the textured white upper.
‘TEAR AWAY’ in black sits on the toe box instructing you to cut away at the individual panels across the upper which allows you to create your very own colourway. Vibrant purple and bold red take over the sidewalls, with a black outlined Swoosh and ‘AIR’ embroidered on to the side of the heel.
Accents of pastel blue and bright green bring an extra contrast of colour to the lace unit and toe box whilst the midsole has been kept white to keep the look fresh and draw more attention to the colourful upper. The insoles have also been updated with black question mark graphics. You can either tear away the upper yourself or allow it to fade over time with wear for a more worn out, natural look.
There’s no official UK release date for this womens Nike Air Max 98 Tear Away White but if you’re wanting to add it to your collection and get creative customising your own shoes then make sure you keep it locked to The Sole Womens to find out as soon as it drops!
