The Nike Air Max 95 has been undergoing somewhat of an experiment since the start of 2021. Most recently, the Oregon-based brand switched up the typical lacing system by moving the iconic wavy lines down the sidewalls, consequently creating a much wider lace unit. However, the Nike Air Max 95 Shimmer, does the opposite.
The champagne-hued, nylon overlays on this AM95 reach all the way over the rosy-tinted eyelets, rather than them being covered by the mesh panelling we are familiar with. This makes for a much tighter design. Darker shades of pink can be found around the toe cap and above the mudguard, but overall there is little to distinguish the difference between the subtle shading.
Elsewhere on this AM95, a white midsole housing the icy Air units sits atop a matching pink outsole, making this Air Max as comfortable as it is pretty. The panelling across the medial and lateral sidewalls stop just short of each other on the heel of the shoe, to expose a white, vertical strip. Subtle Nike Air branding is embossed into the white in a light shade of baby pink, whilst additional Swoosh branding is found on the back of each lateral sidewall, embroidered in a glittery stitch.
The tongue remains built from mesh and the familiar Air Max bubble is found in corresponding pink shades at the top. Built with extreme cushioning, especially around the ankle and tongue, you are guaranteed comfort day and night with these Air Max 95s.
Girly, but still dressed with that AM 95 edge that we know and love, the Nike Air Max 95 Pink/White is the perfect chunky trainer that will add a splash of pink to your shoedrobe. There is currently no news of a release date for these pretty, glittery sneakers, but keep it locked to The Sole Womens to be the first in the know about when and where you'll be able to cop a pair.
Whilst you're here, why not check out the rest of the Air Max 95s that are in stock, or have a gander at all the other pretty, pastel sneakers set to release this Easter?
