White Asparagus brings a fresh look to the Puma Cell
The collaboration between US streetwear and fashion brand Rhude and Puma brings us a fresh update to the Puma Cell Endura that was released in October 2018. Hot on the heels of the white/green/black colourway from last year, the Rhude x Puma Cell Endura in White Asparagus brings us a sleek tonal version of the silhouette.
Teaming up with Rhude fashion designer Rhuigi Villasenor, Puma brings us a shoe that will satisfy those who love everything about the dad shoe aesthetic – and of course, the 90s. If you loved the Reebok Daytona DMX White, these will probably be your vibe. The tonal cream colourway is perfect if you love this chunky shoe, but found the previous editions a little too loud and out there!
The White Asparagus is a throwback to the first iteration of the 1998 Puma Cell, which introduced blow-moulded hexagonal cells to provide stable cushioning and extra stability.
Fashioned from an upper of mesh and leather overlays, this distinctive design is robust and still very much on trend.
The upper features hiker-style laces that snake through extended eyelets for a utility-style look. ‘Forever Faster’ embroidery sits on the toe vamp, while the Rhude and Cell branding feature on the lateral sidewalls and heel counter.
Underfoot, an EVA chunky sole features visible air cushioning for a space-like bounce in every step. Pair these sneakers with loose cargo pants and a fitted crop top for to achieve a feminine, stylish look.
The Puma Cell Endura x Rhude in White Asparagus arrives on the 17th of January, so be sure to keep it locked to The Sole Womens for updates on stockists.
