If you’re into your streetwear then you’ll have probably already heard about the latest collaboration between The Basement and Nike. The duo has taken one of the most iconic Swoosh silhouettes, the Air Max 90 and reworked it with three brand new colourways. The updated colourways take inspiration from three British cities and the next to arrive is The Basement x Nike Air Max 90 ‘Manchester‘.
The darkest iteration in the pack, this silhouette arrives with a blacked-out upper and midsole, accented with hits of vibrant yellow across the lace unit and side panels. Noted by Nike as ‘the city of warehouses’ this Basement AM90 takes inspiration from the cities renowned music and creative scene bringing an underground, street-ready feel.
The upper is crafted from water-resistant Cordura that’s ultra-durable and couldn’t be more fitting for withstanding the rainy Northen weather. Pops of 3M detailing adds a reflective quality to the shoe, with an updated lace unit that features a ribboned piece of material in neon yellow. Below foot, a transparent rubber outsole shows off yellow text saying ‘REAL PEOPLE’ on one shoe and ‘DO REAL THINGS’ on the other.
